Diagnosis of Rett syndrome is done in the presence of a team of doctors including Clinical geneticists, Neurologists and psychologists and is based on the worldwide accepted Diagnostic criteria of Rett syndrome (clinical diagnosis) and molecular diagnosis, which is done by testing the MECP2 and CDKL5 gene in these patients.
